Walt Hollytree was a clerk who served Mayor Graeme Tenderlarch during the Third Age. When the War of the Ring erupted, Walt was sent by the mayor to attend the Council of Elrond. He returned to Bree to inform the mayor of the One Ring and Sauron's plan for war. After the war ended, Walt became the new mayor of Bree during the beginning of the Fourth Age.
