Stem Rushlight was a man who lived in Bree as head of the Rushlight family that lived in Staddle. He was the father of Ham Rushlight. During his time, Stem had served as one of Gandalf's loyal followers and messengers. He informed Gandalf that Strider was arriving while attending his drinks.
