An Oronin or Mountain-Sprite
Earth Spirits or Sprites were Ainur bound to the element of Earth, most of them were lesser Maiar serving the Vali of the Earth, Yavanna, mainly the Earth-Sprites of the Pelloini and Alandri but also the tribes of the Tavari, Nandini, Orossi, Nermir, the Fairies of the Woods, Vales, Mountains and meads or Fays, Pixies, Leprawns and Brownies.Other Sprites however also served Aule, Orome, Lórien and Vána.
Several Earth-Spirits were corrupted or tempted by Morgoth, these became the Earth-Demons, Cave-demons, Lassaraukar, Lithrogath and Sand-Demons.
On Southernesses Great East Continent the Old Ones revered Spirits they called "Bûluk-Gâ" (Ol."Rock-geniuses").
