The Pharazâin or Golden Lands were a large region in the Haradwaith of the second Age that had been colonized by the Númenoreans.It´s name came from the discovery of Gold in the Grey Mountains of Harad.With the great cataclysm after the drowning of Númenór large parts of the Pharazâin sank in the great floods.Remnants of Pharazâin were smaller groups of Islands off the Harad Coast.The Inland Areas of the Pharazâin presumably became Bellakar and the Rây.The long western Slope of the Tûr Betark was also known as the Ûrid-Pharazâin (Ad."Mountains of the Golden Lands").
