the Lithlad
Lithlad (S. ‘Plain of Ash’). The Great Ash Plain, it is an arid region that extends from the Mithram Spur in the west out into the central plains of Middle-earth, bounded by the Ered Lithui in the north and by the more fertile region of Núrn to the south.
