Laur Dunnen- Capital of Dunfearn

- Purpose: An urban center for the scattered Dunnish tribes; a neutral place of contact for negotiation; a reprovisionin g station on the Old North Road.
Laur Dunnen was in the territory claimed by Clan Gurgan, but the foreign traffic passing through it made it an excellent place for neutral discussion and trade among the tribes. No wall surrounded the town, and residents had to rely upon the nearby Clan-hold of Gurgan for defense. Laur Dunnen was also at one of the few easy crossings of the small river known as the Dunstrem, and the clan-lords imposed a moderate toll on all bridge traffic .
