Lord of the Tower of Carchost, Krûsnak the Black Númenórean commanded the garrison of the Morannon in absence of it's true lord, Dwâr the Ringwraith. Like the Mouth of Sauron, he was one of the High Edain turned to evil by Sauron long ago on the lost isle of Númenór. Although not truly an 'immortal' like the Ringwraiths, Krûsnak was able, through his arts, to prolong his life which turned him more and more into a Ghoul.
