King's Crag in the Northdowns

Aradhras (S."Royal Horn") or King's Crag had once been of mightiest Arthadan fortress in the North Downs.At it's peak the Fortress and town had been home to 6.500 citizens and soldiers.After being sacked by the forces of Angmar the place was abandoned after TA 1970.

In the 2012 version of his article Population and Urbanization in Eriador, Thomas Morwinsky uses the name "Ganderch" for the location identified in MERP as the King's Crag.In the older version he had applied the name Ganderch to a settlement south of the Overbourne Marshes (published in Other Minds Magazine #13).
