The Isles of the Dead that live
The Tel Firn i-guinar (S. "Isles of the Dead that Live", Os. "Tolli Firnin-kuin", Q. "Tolli Kuinyafiryi") were remnants of the low mountains that once stretched to the south of Tol Galen and the Adurant. From these heights Beren and Luthien and the Green-elves sometimes surveyed the region. Even after the departure of Luthien for the places beyond where Men go, her enchantment lay thinly upon this country, so fruitful, or so filled with lights. No evil may came here, but neither might sailors take rest here, for its magics defended against all, save the purest of heart.
