Harndirion (S."Southwatch") was the ruin of an old gondorian tower within the Coit Cerdd, once built to have a steady watch on the Gwathuirim.
The Rangers of the North upheld a semi -permanent camp and settlement within the ancient ruins. The local Dunlendings knew this place as Craig-y-Din (Du.: "Castle Rock").
