It was formerly the domain of the Noldorin nobility and Gil-galad in the Second Age, just as Dor Leithien was that of the Doriathrim. Although the region has become more heterogeneous, the old label has stuck. To the extent that the Deep Elves’ princes still retain estates there, it has some accuracy.
Geleidhien is the most densely populated part of Forlindon, but is relatively empty to mortal eyes.
