Dragon's Eye

The Dragon's Eye was a fabulous gem or orb found in Lake Annen several years after the death of Smaug. The Northmen believed it to have been one of Smaug's eyes and thought the stone's fabulous glance came from Udûnaur, or "Hellfire", enclosed within. The Stone was purchased by King Thranduil who ordered his Mirdain to find out the stone's true origin.
