Dol Gormaen in the Rammas Formen
With the fall of Eldanar Keep in T.A. 1325 a new line of fortifications on the Rammas Formen was built. These were anchored by the great keep Dol Gormaen (S. "Hill of cruel treasure" or "Gormaen's Hill") built at the hill of the same name.

In the 2012 version of his article Population and Urbanization in Eriador Thomas Morwinsky relocates "King's Crag" in roughly the same location identified in MERP as "Dol Gormain" while renaming the original location of "King's crag" as "Ganderch".In the older version he had used "Ganderch" for the location in the Overbourne Marshes he renamed as "Nelval" innthe 2012 version. (published in Other Minds Magazine #13).
