The Ravarasser or giant pronghorn (Dn. "Astabanhe") was an Antelope-like creature found mainly in the Pinnath Gerain and the Girithlin highlands of Eriador. They stood about 4' tall, and were dull yellow in color. While renowned for their loud white rump, their short black horns gave the Ravarasser their name. Pronghorns traveled in small herds (10-100) and were inquisitive, but they were quick to flee. Movements of their white tail fur signaled other Ravarasser when there was danger or when they had take to flight. They could travel at speeds of up to forty miles per hour and could swim quite well.
